A recent spate of extreme weather events - from tornadoes and floods to droughts and extreme cold snaps has people asking whether climate change is at least partly responsible.The Science Media Centre today hosted visiting climate scientist and New Zealander Dr Kevin Trenberth, head of the Climate Analysis Section at the National Center for Atmospheric Research, based in Boulder, Colorado. He is joined by Professors Lionel Carter and Martin Manning from Victoria University, two New Zealand scientists also internationally recognised for their work in the field of climate change research.
